Poison Ivy and Fungal Infections

As you can tell from the title of this post, I’ve been having boatloads of fun lately. And the best part is that I have them at the same time.

Yippie.

So welcome back to me! It’s been a busy past few weeks and the weather has been fantastic in my area. I’ve been hanging out with friends whenever the opportunity arises and going to so many events that it’s been making my head spin… somebody remind me to write stuff down in my diary, because I can and will dump all these memories along the way.

But in the midst of all the fun, I’ve had unwelcome visitors.

I introduce to you…..

POISON IVY AND FUNGI!

*insert horror screech here*

For those of you who are scratching your head wondering what’s a fungal infection (hopefully not because of poison ivy), it doesn’t mean that I’m growing mushrooms under my armpits. It’s basically a lot like a yeast infection, and it’s ITCHIER than poison ivy.

My family aren’t the type of people who run to the doctor for every sniffle- and heck, we don’t even go unless we can’t breathe due to colds or the flu. But we decided we had to go this time. Partly because the poison ivy was on my face, I was inflated like a Macy’s day balloon, and one of my eyelids was so puffy that I couldn’t see out of one eye.

But ANYWAYYYYY,

I am pleased to inform you that I am feeling and looking much better. I don’t really have a huge update on the fungal infection since it looks about the same, but I digress.

I also want to complain about poison ivy.

This is my first time ever getting poison ivy, and I’m REALLY ANNOYED that most of it at the moment is on my hands.

My hands.

On my right, I had a blister on every single finger. And I’m a righty. I just about went bonkers sitting on my bed, oozing silently as I stared at my sketchbooks across the room. I practically squealed with joy when I could go back to writing in my schoolbooks (don’t tell my parents that, though).

I got so annoyed that I tried to speed up the process by popping the blisters and dealt with them properly so it wouldn’t spread.

So that’s about all I have for you today. This was a more of an update/rant-y post, so I hope you guys don’t mind it too much.

Thanks for reading to the end!
